2010, from Autobiography, in my iPad application Horvatland
About my current photographic project – An Eye at the Fingertips – I would have more to say than about most of the others, if only because I am still involved in it. But I hesitate to put it into words, being aware that I lack perspective and afraid that I may take my wishful thoughts for accomplished results. What I wish to believe is that these photographs will contain a quintessence of what has accumulated, over the years, in the neurones of my cortex: encounters experienced or imagined, ideas leading to discoveries or to dead ends, memories more or less reliable, more or less often recalled, more or less modified by the recalling. As if whatever I see and photograph these days was woven into the fabric of my previous associations of ideas, and if the overlapping of these layers provided them with additional depth.
